Data Migration using Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) Process At Synergy Tech Software Pvt. Ltd - Final Year Internship Project Report [CSC-404] 

Abstract

The transformation of an existing database to another database removing inconsistency
is done to form data marts and data warehouses and also to convert databases from one
format or type to another. In this organization, data is transformed from its old version
of a software to the new one. This project is based on the migration of data using the
process of Extraction, Transformation and Loading, enabling data to be implemented
in the new system. It explains in detail how the migration process was conducted.
The internship instills me in the right kind of work attitude and professionalism through
interaction with people in the organization as well as working in team and employing
IT in the real workplace. Staying aside from the software development environment the
author was dedicated at the design and development of the transformation for financial
database. Analyzing the software system developed and the database platform design
process was carried on. Along with the details of database structure migration of
database was done. Details of the organizations, member, information, calendar data
and other necessary details were forwarded.
Focusing on design of the transformation was more emphasized rather than the
software product. The transformation tends to forward clean data to destination
database.
