An Internship Project Report on Focusone Photo Contest and Online Radio Streaming (CSC-452) 

Abstract

This report is created as per the requirement put forward by Bachelors in Computer
Science and Information Technology course’s final semester syllabus. It is based on the
three months long internship period during the course of which we got an opportunity to
put theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom into actual professional practice.
During the internship period I have done the project entitled as “FOCUSONE PHOTO
CONTEST” and “ONLINE RADIO STREAMING". His report focuses on web
application based on Model View Controller approach on top of JEE technology and
android application built on top of java technology. “FOCUSONE PHOTO CONTEST”
is web application based project developed for voting the best photo of employee
working in the organization. Similarly, “ONLINE RADIO STREAMING” is an android
application built on android platform. It plays an online radio FM for a single station
which is built for different types of androids phones. Web based applications and android
application are successful to overcome the limitations of desktop based applications
provide as they provide anytime and anywhere service. It is simple web application
without the sophisticated security, so can be used within the intranet of the
organization only. The platform that is used to create the web application are JSP
,HTML, JAVA ,MYSQL for back end and the platforms that are used to built an android
applications are JAVA, android SDK tools, android 2.3 platform gingerbread. These
projects helped me to enhance my skill and knowledge in software development, project
handling and project management. This report contains the detail of the involvements in
different web application and android application projects carried out during the
internship at Focusone, ekantakuna, lalitpur for 3 months (12th Dec to 29th Feb).
