My Farm: Android and Cloud Based Digitization and Collaboration Platform for Farmers and Experts at Axon System- A Final Year Internship Project Report [CSC-452] 

Abstract

The major problem in case of agriculture is that there is information
scattered all over the place but it's not reaching right people at right time. If
there is a platform through which agricultural stakeholders, experts and agro
businessmen can communicate, then it can help agriculture to grow.
This project titled ‘My Farm’ is an agricultural project that enables farmers
and experts to collaborate for exchanging the knowledge, problems and
information which tends to solve the problem arising in agricultural sector.
The report contains information about user’s requirement, scope of mobile
application in the field of agriculture, development process, and tools used
to develop the application.
The main purpose of this project is digitization and collaboration. Since
agriculture is one such sector where digitization is least explored, this has
caused problem in migrating older data in newer system. The primary users
of this application are farmers and experts. Thus both farmers and experts
digitize their data and share them with this application. Research on user
requirement was studied and analyzed to create a system that can be useful
to all the end users. Sharing information and knowledge about the farming
methodologies with new technology is what this application provides. Thus
it bridges ICT and agriculture.
