Abstract

This report refers to work completed during the author’s internship with the Synergy Tech Software Pvt. Ltd as a part of curriculum requirement of BSc. CSIT affiliated
to Tribhuvan University from November 27th, 2013 until February 26th, 2014.
Replacing the manual process in Inventory management by a computer-based system is a key area of research during the study. Inventory for any organization refers to the act of making a complete list of the things that are available in rganization which might directly or indirectly take part in the operation of organization. This
report describes about the drawbacks of using manual -ventory system and presents the key benefits and the work of computer based inventory system.
This study deals with the design and implementation of a system that is capable of r e "forming most of the inventory operations. The author has developed the web

arriication inventory control system that keeps information regarding the items that are currently available in the store. It also keeps track of inflow and outflow :
items from the departments.
The author has used Java Server Faces framework under Java to develop the ; .'tern and MySQL to implement the database. The application was then terhyed in Glass Fish
server. . Thus, implementing computer based system over —aruol offer much more benefits allowing businesses to consolidate and streamline their systems and processes and reduce costs.
