Abstract

A Business Directory System is a website listing of information which lists all
businesses within some group or categories and within some periphery of the
customers’ latitude and longitude. This Business Directory System provides a
more holistic service to the client to help establish their presence on the web and
helps their business gain visibility to prospective customers. This gives the
opportunity to all kind of customers to come across a particular trademark.
The main purpose of this Business Directory System is to offer business listing
information, that is, a method for efficiently searching business directory listing
information to obtain more relevant results. In operation, the Business Directory
System offers a variety of search options, such as, by business categories levels,
by proximity of geographic position of the user or the business or a combination
thereof. Depending on the search query entered, the system will perform a search.
Using the inputted search qualifiers, the system polls the data store according to a
predefined set of rules and instructions for the relevant business directory listing
information.
Thus, with Business Directory System, the way we search for and gather
information can be changed and more importantly, as consumer are becoming
considerably more demanding when it comes to the way the information are
accessed, they can expect the business directory listing data to be compiled,
aggregated and presented in the most user friendly and time efficient manner
possible.
