Abstract

Chat systems has been around since even before the modern Internet came into
existence. Today there are a variety of chat systems of varying complexity. There
has been a lot of research when it comes to networks, network communication and
the use of Peer-To-Peer software has become increasingly popular. This report
describes one possible way to implement a chat system using a Peer-To-Peer model
instead of a client/server model without the need to sign up for the specified service
to be able to use it.
Offices provide a concrete example of the principles needed to understand the
performance of computer communication systems. In offices, there is a great
interest in measuring and improving productivity, coupled with trends of rising
personnel costs and falling solid state electronic circuits costs, just as there is in
computer communication systems.
Designing an internal communication tool is to facilitate the internal
communication of the co-workers which will result in better co-ordination and
understanding among colleagues. These tools need to ensure that they can operate
in different devices and should be cross-platform compatible.
