Abstract

The interaction of human societies with land is becoming crucial for the economic, social, political and environmental development. Land resources, a limited resource, needs a reliable land information system for its management and control. Different land issues and disputes have existed for centuries and are deeply rooted in the Nepalese Society. Poor land records and land management systems, lack of automation of land related data and a feeble land information system has worsened the problem of land access and rights in Nepal. With an effective land informative system, the stakeholders can be provided with reliable information about land and its resources, which can somewhat contribute in mitigating land issues.

This project delivers a land informative system which aims in achieving sustainable use of land resources. Addressing the land issues is a sensitive matter, so, this project also aims to resolve the land issues in small steps that are not controversial. This project acts like a platform which provides both, past and present, information to the interested stakeholders.

Information management is a critical matter which, in this project, includes the land recourse. This project deals with digitized land records which condense the problems related with disputes of the land, and eradication of counterfeit information and provide legitimate land information and details which results in effective use of land resources in various developmental sectors like urbanization, agricultural, environmental and infrastructural development. Land owners, tillers and consumer can be able to get involved in fair land trade including unpretentious land information and rates.
