PDoc Reader: An application to read Word and PDF documents -Final Year Project Report 

Abstract

PDF files can be a real pain if we want to access information from them and don't have the appropriate program. Considering the present scenario, Windows based applications like Microsoft Word is the most popular and is widely used for generating digital documents like news articles, scholarly documents, and blog posts. The format that it uses to save these documents is usually in .doc or .pdf format. It is very cumbersome to search different tools to read different text file types. PDoc Reader is a lightweight and handy application designed to make it easy to deal with.
With its intuitive features and user-friendly interface, users can access files of multiple formats which enable them to save the time of context switching between different programs. The application is platform independent, which means user can install the same application in Windows, Linux, or Ubuntu. There is no need of different programs for different platforms.
PDoc Reader is relatively cheaper than other programs available in the market. It is small in size and requires less memory so, it can be downloaded quickly and installation is quick. Security is added in this program so that it denies unauthorized access. PDoc Reader allows to view word document and pdf files efficiently without need to context switch between program supporting either word or pdf files only.
