Abstract

Nepal is a landlocked country covered by mostly rugged mountain and terrain where
Transportation system is a challenging. The use of ICT in the transportation field is
also very low. Bato-Ghato – An Offline Route Tracking Android App is an android
application developed to support the locals with their transportation problem
somewhat.
Transportation application is the android based mobile application that is used to search
the best transportation options based on the user’s criteria. This application gives the
search list of the different routes from the user’s source and destination. User can add
up to 3 through points from source and destination they want to travel to. The search
list contains of the route name, company of the transportation system, estimated time
of arrival and departure of the transportation and fare of the transportation. User can
sort the search list according to the fare and time and can know which will be best
according to user’s requirement. The details about particular item can be also be
obtained with the map from source to destination and through points in between source
and destination.
