Abstract

Tourist Help desk is one of the important project. Help desk is intended to provide the customer
or end user with information and support related to a company or institution’s products and
services. Furthermore, it contains Content Based Image Retrieval system, which is invented as
new concept in the searching era.
Content-based image retrieval is currently a very important area in the field of multimedia
databases. Content Based Image Retrieval allows user to extract a collection of images from
database according to patterns, colors and textures. This type of system is intended for
applications, where user can select collection of multimedia contents from database according to
multimedia type of query provided. Traditional query system allows user to select information on
the basis of keyword or tags rather than content of page. So, Content Based Image Retrieval
system is invented as intelligent system, which selects multimedia content on the basis of texture,
color and pattern.
We have selected the C# and JAVA as our platform for designing the application of our project.
For user Friendly, we have designed the graphical user interface with easy navigation.
