Store Management System(SMS)- Final Year Project Report (CSC-404) 

Abstract

The management of data has become the most significant need in today’s business
world. The storage, protection and retrieval of these data has become more important.
This project work automates all the activity taking place in store. In the system,
application is divided into two tier, Windows GUI (Front-End) and Microsoft Access
Database (Back-End).
The windows application takes most of the activities such as product registration,
product entry deletion, editing and inventory report. The database facilitates the
storage of records entered through the GUI by the admin or sales person, to view
record of products sales and to view sales reports by admin and allows standard users
to make transaction.
A advanced search technique has been used to search sales record according to sales
person, date, bill no. A database has been used to enforce constraints and to store
data. The prototype has been tested with data from pre-built database. It has been
observed that the system successfully registers products, facilitates sales entry by the
sales person and generate sales reports. It has also been shown that the system
facilitates to view the status of sales by the user or admin.
