Abstract

Road accidents are one the major causes of the death. Hundreds of people are death
and millions of people get injured because of road accidents. Many of them did not
get proper treatment as well as families and relatives are unaware about the
circumstance of the accident caused. The shortages of blood have been another major
factor these days. So, considering these problems this project brought easy medium to
get information.
The project entitled Aaswaas - Accelerometer and GPS Based Auto-SMS Enabled
Accident Detector with Virtual Blood Bank is mobile application that has used the
accelerometer and the GPS of the mobile phone that send message to the contact
numbers saved in the user profile. It helps to reduce fatalities stemming from
accidents by decreasing the response time of responders. Also it shows all the possible
blood groups of the donor whenever someone is in need of the blood immediately. It
had enveloped all the features that an application should have. The application had
basically focused on detecting the accident and sending messages in respond to it. The
accident is detected by the G-force act on the mobile phone through the accelerometer
device append with the phone. Whenever the G-force goes out of the range (probably
5g), the message is send to the listed contact numbers saved by the user along with
their location. In panic situation, user can send message by pressing the button and
finally one can search for the blood groups they required as well.
This application is developed for the providing the information to the user’s family as
well as for the blood solicitant who are in search of blood. Conclusively, it supports
the system that provides the information about the condition of the user who may be
in accident or panic situation. And the user (also Blood Solicitant) can view for the
blood donor details to contact with them.
